Marriott ExecuStay®, a leader in temporary housing, corporate housing and furnished apartments, is pleased to announce that franchisee Mainsail Housing has expanded its partnership in Florida with the acquisition of the Jacksonville, Orlando and Southern Florida markets. This makes Mainsail the sole operator of ExecuStay franchises in Florida.
Mainsail Housing also operates Marriott ExecuStay corporate housing franchises in Georgia and in North and South Carolina. Based in Tampa, the company was started in 1999 and in 2003, began to acquire Marriott ExecuStay franchises in the Southeast. Two of the three Mainsail partners are former Marriott International executives. Joe Collier, president and founder of Mainsail, spent 15 years with Marriott in sales, marketing and development. Julianne Corlew, vice president and partner joined Mainsail after 16 years with Marriott in operations and finance. Jana Collier (no relation), vice president and partner, joined Mainsail in 2003 and has a wealth of experience in the corporate housing industry.
“It was truly a special moment when we signed our franchise agreement at Marriott headquarters,” says Mrs. Corlew. “We are proud to have expanded our territory with Marriott ExecuStay. Like Marriott, customer service is at the core of our company values. Our partnership with ExecuStay gives us access to a national network of markets which allows us the ability to offer our customers more options to fulfill their lodging needs.”
“This is exciting growth for Mainsail and we are pleased to expand our relationship with them,” said Adam Sherer, vice president of Marriott ExecuStay, “We are proud of their contributions to Marriott ExecuStay and of the part we play in their success by providing them with competitive advantages like online booking, our award-winning sales team and customer access to Marriott Rewards.”
Mainsail is a semi-finalist of the 2009 Tampa Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award, which highlights the impact of small business on the Tampa community and recognizes the best of the best in small business. In 2007, Mainsail won Marriott ExecuStay’s Operational Excellence award and in 2003 was awarded the highest honor bestowed by Marriott to its owner and franchise partners, the Partnership Circle Award, for their hospitality service.
